Reception Team

Our reception team plays a vital role in supporting both our patients and the wider healthcare community. Often the first point of contact with the practice, they are here to help with a wide range of enquiries from patients, carers, and NHS colleagues, including district nursing and hospital teams.

Every day, our receptionists work hard to ensure patients receive the support they need, handling hundreds of telephone calls alongside assisting patients at the reception desk. Their dedication helps keep the practice running smoothly and ensures that patients are directed to the most appropriate service as quickly as possible.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding when speaking with our reception team. They work within practice policies and NHS guidelines, which are designed to ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and the effective delivery of care. If a receptionist is unable to assist further with a particular query, it is because they may not have access to the required information or are unable to provide advice beyond their role.

While our receptionists receive training to support patients and understand healthcare processes, they are not clinically qualified and cannot interpret medical results or provide clinical advice unless specific guidance has been given by a GP or other clinician. Thank you for treating our team with the same kindness and respect that they strive to show every patient.
